This is a fundamental course in Python to kick start aspirants in the
field of Data analytics.
The course duration will be about an hour with lab work on Jupyter/Google-Colab platform
to get you introduced with the language.
Strongly recommend to use Chrome for Jupyter, Google-Colab platform
Prerequisites: Basic understanding of programming.
Learning objective: The objective of this course is to give you a feel about the Python
language so that you can start exploring the data for analytical purposes.

In this course you will learn about:
- Python and its use
- Python applications
- Defining variables and different data structures
- Sets and conditional statements in Python
- The purpose of having functions in Python
- How to operate on files to read and write data in Python
- How to use pandas, a must have package for anyone attempting data analysis in
Python.

Technische Voraussetzungen für die Nutzung von vhs.cloud mit Videokonferenzen sind ein PC, Laptop oder Tablet mit einem Browser, der WebRTC unterstützt. Derzeit sind dies Firefox und Chrome, für Safari benötigt ein iPad mindestens IOS 13 und ein anderes Apple-Gerät mindestens MAC OS 10.13.6. Die Nutzung auf dem Smartphone ist möglich, durch die verringerte Größe ändert sich die Nutzungsqualität, weshalb wir klar zu einem größeren Endgerät raten. Ihr Gerät sollte mit einem Mikrofon ausgestattet sein und im Idealfall mit einer Webkamera. Nutzen Sie gerne Kopfhörer für eine bessere Akustik.

Ein sicherer Umgang mit Ihrem Endgerät und das Navigieren in Browsern sind gewünscht.
